The Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage ended on October 31 (November 1 in Japan), and the eight Knockout Stage teams are set: GEN and DK at 3-0, T1, TES and IG at 3-1, and BLG, KC and LYON at 3-2. By region, the LCK and LPL have three teams each and the LEC and LCS one each (LoL Esports, Leaguepedia).

Every Knockout Stage match is a Bo5 in a single-elimination bracket. The quarterfinals are played from November 3 to 6 and the semifinals on November 7 and 8, all at 4 PM CST in Allen, Texas, and the final is on November 14 at 2 PM EST in Brooklyn, New York (official Primer, venue policies). This article lays out the quarterfinal matchups and all eight teams' Swiss records and player K/D/A from official match data, plus what an AI made of the data.

Published November 1 (JST): the matchups and schedule were checked against the official schedule and Leaguepedia as of 17:30 JST (3:30 AM CDT). Swiss records and stats are the same official match data as in our Swiss Stage article (cross-checked against Leaguepedia's scoreboards). The per-game stats of BLG vs HLE in Swiss Round 5 are still being checked, so BLG's player totals cover the other six games. We will add results after each match day from the quarterfinals on.

Sources: LoL Esports official schedule (checked 17:30 JST, November 1), Leaguepedia. US daylight saving time ended on November 1, so local times are Central Standard Time (UTC-6). Team order follows the official schedule and does not indicate side.

According to the official Primer, the quarterfinals are drawn after the Swiss Stage, and the two 3-0 teams face 3-2 teams on opposite sides of the bracket. GEN play LYON and DK play BLG, so GEN and DK can only meet in the final. TES vs IG is an all-LPL quarterfinal, and T1 vs KC pairs a 3-1 team with a 3-2 team.

As of 17:30 JST on November 1, the official schedule does not yet show which quarterfinal winners meet in each semifinal, so we have not listed it.

Prompt
You are a League of Legends analyst. Below are the Swiss Stage records of the eight teams in the Worlds 2026 Knockout Stage (best-of-five single elimination), from official data: each team's kills, gold lead, towers, dragons, barons and side per game, plus each player's total K/D/A and champions played, and the quarterfinal matchups.
Answer briefly:
(1) What the eight teams' Swiss records say
(2) What this data can tell us about the four quarterfinals
(3) What this data cannot tell us
Mark anything not in the data as speculation.
AI response

1. What the eight teams' Swiss records say

  • DK went 4-0 in games, the only team that did not drop one. GEN and T1 went 4-1, TES and IG 4-2, KC 5-2, BLG 5-3 and LYON 6-5. LYON played the most games, 11, more than twice as many as DK (4).

  • Per game with stats, T1 (16.6 kills, 7.6 deaths) and GEN (16.0 kills, 8.6 deaths) are well ahead, and DK, at 12.8 kills and 7.3 deaths, have the fewest deaths. LYON (11.3 kills, 10.6 deaths) and TES (13.2 kills, 12.2 deaths) have small kill-death gaps, and TES had both heavy losses (7-24 in kills to HLE, 6-21 in game 1 against BLG) and a heavy win (17-3 in game 3 against BLG).

  • Among players, the highest KDAs belong to DK's Smash (17/3/15), GEN's Canyon (16/6/47), DK's ShowMaker (14/4/22) and T1's Keria (6/8/60) and Faker (19/7/37). LYON's Berserker (48 kills in 11 games), IG's JiaQi (34 in six) and KC's Caliste (34 in seven) have the most kills, but the numbers of games differ, so totals should be compared with care.

  • Champion range varies: IG's Rookie played three champions in six games (Aurora, Orianna and Annie, twice each), while LYON's Saint played nine and Inspired eight in 11 games.

2. The four quarterfinals

  • TES vs IG (11/4 JST): identical 3-1 records and 4-2 game records, and no Swiss meeting. Against their common opponent HLE, TES lost in Round 1 (7-24 in kills, 0-9 in towers) and IG won in Round 3 (29-9 in kills). IG come out better on this one comparison, but the timing and the opponent's form differ, so who wins is speculation.

  • GEN vs LYON (11/5 JST): the only rematch of the four. GEN won their Round 3 Bo3 2-1, but LYON took game 1 10-4 in kills, 9-3 in towers and 2-0 in barons, GEN's only lost game of the Swiss Stage. Against their common opponent IG, GEN won (22-10 in kills) and LYON lost 1-2.

  • DK vs BLG (11/6 JST): no Swiss meeting. Against their common opponent MKOI, DK won 2-0 (16-8 and 17-5 in kills) and BLG lost in Round 1 (14-18 in kills, 3-11 in towers). BLG have no per-game data for the Round 5 games against HLE, so their two most recent games are unknown. DK's Round 1 and 2 wins were narrow, by +3,364 and +4,894 gold.

  • T1 vs KC (11/7 JST): no Swiss meeting. Both beat their common opponents CFO and MKOI. T1 beat MKOI 20-10 and 22-9 in kills, and KC 13-14 and 18-4; KC won the first of those with fewer kills but 2-0 in barons and 8-5 in towers. KC are 4-0 in Bo3 games, and T1's only lost game was against DK.

3. What this data cannot tell us

  • The quarterfinals are Bo5, but the Swiss Stage had only Bo1s and Bo3s. Whether the same patterns hold over a Bo5 is speculation.

  • Opponents differed from match to match, and there are only one or two common opponents per pair, so the teams cannot be compared directly. Apart from GEN vs LYON there is no head-to-head result.

  • BLG have no stats for their two Round 5 games against HLE, and their player totals cover six games.

  • Pick order, bans and in-game timelines (when and where leads were built) are not in the input, so drafts and how games were played cannot be evaluated. The quarterfinal sides and any patch change are unknown as well.

  • Player totals cover different numbers of games (11 for LYON, four for DK) against different opponents, so bigger numbers do not directly mean better players.
